This self watering system works best when the set-up instructions are followed precisely, therefore we are not selling the planter separately for DIY installation. Instead we are giving away the planter system for FREE when you pay for set-up. The set-up fee will include digging a 13 inch wide by 15 inch deep hole for the reservoir in a location of your choosing, filling the planter with 45 quarts of potting mix, filling the reservoir with water and saturating the potting mix to initiate wicking. When set-up has been completed, all you will have to do is plant your seeds/seedlings and monitor the water level indicator to see when it's time to add water. Since the reservoir is a 5 gallon food grade bucket, stored below ground level to lessen evaporation, watering should be cut by as much as 75% or more in comparison to typical containers installed above ground. Heavy rains will help to fill the reservoir on it's own.
