Let's face it, we all love to eat high quality food. When it comes to food, fresh is best. That's one of the many reasons why so many people enjoy gardening. Gardening, if done well, is one of the few activities where the returns can far outweigh the investment. Just think about it, you can buy and plant a single seed that will produce multiple fruits and vegetables that will in turn produce even more seeds for future gardening. All gardeners, beginer and advanced, want to protect their investment. One threat to a healthy garden are wild animals such as deer, groundhogs, squirrels, rabits etc.... They like healthy food too, especially when it's readily available.
After you have prepared the soil, chose and planted the seeds, watered daily and see the plant finally sprout, grow and produce, nothing hurts more than to have the fruit of your labor ruined by hungry animals. We understand that they have to eat too, but they're considered wild for a reason. That's where our Enclosed Raised Garden Bed comes to the rescue. It will provide the highest level of protection from deer, groundhog, squirrels, rabbits and other animals. You can customize the wire options based upon the types of animals you want to keep out. There are some vegetables that need pollination in order to produce so you may want a different type of wire to allow bee's and butterflies to enter freely or you can remove the door occasionally to allow temporary access.
Our Enclosed Raised Garden Bed is made from quality materials designed to last many years. It is 6 feet wide, by 3 feet deep, by 4 feet tall. It has easy access from doors on both sides so you don't have to stretch too far to reach all of your plants. The planting bed is 11 inches deep and will require about 18 cubic feet of soil to fill when installed on level land. The wire used is galvanized for years of rust free service. We are based in Fort Washington, MD, so if you live within a 5 mile radius we offer free delivery and setup (placement and leveling).
As one would guess, the spring time is when demand for our Enclosed Raised Garden Beds is very high. Normal turnaround times are 2 to 3 weeks in the spring. Demand lessens in the fall so turnaround times are about 1 week. Here's a suggestion, in late Summer or early Fall, why not start a compost pile using kitchen scraps, grass clippings and leaves. The compost pile will be mature enough to use beginning in the spring and may produce enough high quality material to fill our Enclosed Raised Garden Bed, which would save a lot of money.
